Notify

You can send an email notification to the owner of an account to alert them to the fact that their dataset has been created by clicking on the Notify control.

The email does not contain the JavaScript snippet to be deployed in the website, as experience has shown that sending JavaScript via email sometimes results in the code being broken by the mail client.   Instead, it directs the user to login to the JDC to acquire their JavaScript snippet.

Following is an example of the information included in the email notification:

Your JDC Account has a new Dataset called bobsfruitsite for website www.bobsfruitsite.com

You can administer this dataset at http://stats3.clicktracks.com/cgi-bin/jdc.cgi

 
Your login ID is bob

After you log in, click on View JavaScript for your new Dataset, then copy the JavaScript exactly as it appears into every page on your website for which you wish to collect data. Please be very careful not to allow the JavaScript to be modified during copy or it may not work, and your JDC will not collect any data for this Dataset.
