LDAP Setup
   

To set up a user to use an existing LDAP account, the administrator must first be an actual LDAP user. This means that the user name of the administrator in the Reporting Engine must be a valid user in the LDAP directory for your network. Assuming that your admin user name corresponds to a valid LDAP user, follow these steps to set up another LDAP user:


1.Login to the Reporting engine using the LDAP login in the form DOMAIN\user name

2.Go into User Accounts and click New User  
3.Check the LDAP Login checkbox. A form will appear below it.  
4.Enter all or part of the user's account name as it appears in the LDAP directory and click the 'Search' button. A list of LDAP users will be displayed in a dropdown list.

5.Select the user you want to set up from the dropdown list. That name will be automatically populated into the User Name field. The email field will disappear, because that is already held in the LDAP directory.
